Welcome to 3E Science and my new website! I have been working hard behind the scenes for some time now to get this site up and running. In case we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself!

Who I am

My name is Marie Liston and I am a self proclaimed science nerd and enthusiast. I hold a strong belief that students learn best by doing and I am working hard to bring accessible science activities to you and your students through this site and my 3E Science Program.

I started my teaching journey back in 2004 and hold both a bachelors in education and a masters in curriculum and instruction. I like to learn. A lot and I’m sure you’ll find me nerding out around the web posting all sorts of science fun!

What is 3E Science?

3E Science is an engaging science program that was created to empower students in the area of hands on science through activities, experiments and instruction. We currently have K-5 activities with a total of 6 units for K-2 and 8 units for 3-5. These are created to be taught once a month by volunteers, we call them Experi-mentors.

The process is pretty simple. First, you select the program that’s right for you – whole school or just one classroom. Next you receive materials – either digital or video and digital. Finally, I help you set up your program and train your volunteers to get your program up and running.
